These are the two characters I made for the game. Besides the game itself, they were heavily featured in the trailer. Particularly challenging was the creation of the wigs were I used "Shave and a Haircut". Character:

This is one of three special symbols to appear only at night. The task was to create an environment lit by a bright moonlight with a warm feel to it and good visibility of the legs. The particle effects and water ripples are added to support the animation and introduce a touch of magic to the symbol.

The dress is the second of three special symbols. A mild breeze assisted by some particle effects flows through the dress to give the impression of some magic happening.

The bucket symbol triggers a special feature were the main character has to successfully fulfil a task. The water simulation was done in RealFlow and rendered in Autodesk Maya.

Parallax scrolling was used for the background and the bushes to achieve a sense of depth. This technique works great for the in game resolution of the symbol, which is about 50% of the video displayed here.
