Project description:

Sunfoxgames Logo This environment was made during my employment at SUNFOX Games in Vienna. It is part of a pre-rendered online slot-game named "The Glass Slipper" for various online-casinos (produced in cooperation with Ash Gaming). In addition to the game itself, a trailer was produced where I contributed some environments.

I worked closely with art- and technical-directors and was provided with concept drawings to achieve the desired look.

The game features the following main environments: The mainscreen at daytime and at night plus a castle environment. I worked on all three but my contribution to the castle environment wasn't noteworthy enough to be presented in this online portfolio.

These are the two characters I made for the game. Besides the game itself, they were heavily featured in the trailer. Particularly challenging was the creation of the wigs were I used "Shave and a Haircut".

This is one of three special symbols to appear only at night. The task was to create an environment lit by a bright moonlight with a warm feel to it and good visibility of the legs. The particle effects and water ripples are added to support the animation and introduce a touch of magic to the symbol.

The legs were modeled by another person.

The dress is the second of three special symbols. A mild breeze assisted by some particle effects flows through the dress to give the impression of some magic happening.

The dress itself was modeled and textured by another person.

The bucket symbol triggers a special feature were the main character has to successfully fulfil a task. The water simulation was done in RealFlow and rendered in Autodesk Maya.

Bucket (model and texture) and hands (model) were done by another person.

Parallax scrolling was used for the background and the bushes to achieve a sense of depth. This technique works great for the in game resolution of the symbol, which is about 50% of the video displayed here.

The pumpkin is the last of the special symbols and needed for the player to advance to the final stage in the game.
